The perfect place for a holiday in the Isle of Man

Pros: The description and photos don’t do the house justice. It is both homely and grand. The welcome hamper was such a very generous touch. Short walk into town but a quiet location. It had everything we needed.

Excellent 6 days watching the racing and enjoying the IOM hospitality.

Pros: Superb location overlooking Douglas bay and an easy walk in to town (not quiet so easy to walk back but ok for a 75 year old). Excellent 2 bedroomed accomadation, massive master bedroom with on-suite bathroom. Excellent facilities with every thing you need for self catering. Good secure undercover off road parking great for 2 or more motorcycles. Easy to reach any part of the island and Tesco is within a mile (if you have your own transport).

Cons: The weather.

Amazing location - will be staying here again!

Pros: Perfect location and a beautiful house. Myself and my husband stayed with our 2 kids. Friendly owners and some lovely touches. Very clean, has everything you need, we felt at home straight away. Just a short walk into Douglas and to the beach. Ideal base for exploring the island by car, also close to the steam railway and horse tram (which takes you to the electric railway). We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and no doubt we will be returning in the future. Highly recommend.

Another wonderful stay

Pros: Lovely well equipped place to stay, spotlessly clean, amazing views and very helpful and friendly hosts. This was out second stay at Ravenscliffe and it was as fabulous as ever and we will return. The rooms are so spacious and the beds so comfortable. You really feel like you are staying somewhere special. An added bonus is that there is an outside space where you can sit and eat. Also easy to get into Douglas where there are some great places to eat and lots of shops.

Cons: Some guests may find it difficult to walk back from Douglas centre as there is quite a hill to climb or lots of steps to navigate.

Incredible stay with all our needs covered. Lovely touch with the welcome pack.

Pros: The main bedroom was en suite and large seating area with a fantastic view across the harbour and Douglas bay. The second bedroom was smaller not en suite but with own bathroom. The view looked out onto the pool area and gardens.

Cons: Nothing to dislike especially when you have the added bonus of an auto gate.

Pros: The accommodation was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and everything was thought about. We particularly loved the hamper full of treats and appreciated the milk and juice. Being Gluten free, I was thrilled to find things in the hamper that even I could have. The beds were so comfortable and we slept really well. The men in the family particularly enjoyed watching the ships go in and out of the harbour during our stay. We would definitely stay at Ravenscliffe again.

Cons: The only thing I would say is that my parents really struggled with the sofas. They were too low and the cushions weren't easy to get comfy with and maybe had seen better days. But that is all I can think of to say. Everything else was wonderful.

A chance to stay in a beautiful historic house in Douglas.

Pros: Very spacious, well equipped, fabulous views, beautiful historic house, quiet. Walking distance from the ferry terminal and restaurants as long as you don't mind hills. A very special place to stay.

Cons: We could smell damp in the kitchen. Sink tap in the ensuite dripped.
