A wonderful Lake District hide-away

Pros: The location was spectacular and the room cosy, clean and comfortable. Nicola was a wonderful host with a great mix of friendliness and respect for privacy. Her love of the Lakes and of an active life were inspiring and energising.

Pros: Amazing location, lovely host, easy to find & everything you need for a short stay - toiletries, fridge, storage space. Super cosy room and stunning view from the window.

Just what we needed

Pros: Loved our stay here! Beautiful location and right at the foot of the hills. Host was very accommodating allowing us in early just to drop off our bags before our walk and even shown us a route we weren't familiar with. Thanks for borrowing me the ice spikes :) will visit again in future.

Cons: Nothing.

Perfect bolthole for a night away in the Lakes, near some great climbs and views

Pros: Excellent communication from the host throughout and a very warm welcome on arrival. Lovely, cosy place in a stunning location. The stairs weren't an issue at all. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the views and setting, which are very special.

Cons: Track to reach the property potentially isn't great on your car.

Pros: The room was cosy and had a beautiful view. Host was extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming, couldn't fault our stay. Gorgeous location, with the grounds well maintained. Easily accessible with directions and good walking distance to amenities.

Pros: Hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Fantastic views and great accessibility for normally difficult to reach walks. Room is small but cosy, comfortable and warm.

Cons: Some cooking facilities would have been nice, like a hob and a microwave.

Pros: This tranquil and scenic location, though a bit removed from typical tourist paths, was precisely what I sought. One can relax in the yard, build a fire, and appreciate the quietude and the gentle murmur of the mountain river, as well as the stars. Having lived in a large city, I had nearly forgotten the appearance and beauty of the stars. It is a peaceful place for rejuvenation.
