Hampton Manor House - 9 Bedrooms

Lovely house, all the amenities you need, fabulous location.

Pros: It was perfect for our large family to stay over new year. The bedrooms and bathrooms were fabulous, the kitchen had everything you could need and everything worked well. It was clean and it totally matched the photographs. It was also in a fabulous location. Communication with Lauren was very good. She responded quickly and answered all our pre-stay questions plus all the queries during our stay too. We loved St Bees - a hidden little gem of a coastal town.

Cons: The only thing i would comment on here is that we arrived on new years eve in considerably cold temperatures at 4pm. The house had no heating on whatsoever and had obviously not been heated for several days. We had an 8 month old baby with us so this wasn't ideal. We were given instructions on how to switch the heating on but we just couldn't understand why this couldn't have been done before we arrived as it took several hours for the house to get warm, in which time we had to sit in our coats, scarves and blankets. The radiator in the lounge never came on at all so we were just not able to use that room, finding ourselves all sitting in the dining area/kitchen for the whole stay with the doors to the lounge shut to keep out the cold. After commenting about this, we were provided with an electric heater but it really didn't do anything at all. So my only complaint would be that the house is made warm before guests arrive - even if just on very low and that the radiator in the lounge is fixed.

Very good, awesome property, great for a big family !

Pros: We loved the house. It is a great place and the decor is beautiful. Very clean and in such a great area. All the bedrooms had everything you needed, and the bathrooms were just great. We enjoyed cooking and being able to all be together due to the good open plan environment. Loads of storage spaces for all the bits and bobs. This property has fulfilled all my family's needs, and we really enjoyed the house.

Cons: The key collection was a bit uncertain, but it was sorted, and the woodburner needs an instruction manual. Not everyone is familiar with all the different kinds of woodburners.

Pros: Lots of bedrooms for our meet up of three families, really comfortable stay for everyone

Cons: One of the electric showers couldn’t hold a consistent temperature but there were plenty of others. We couldn’t all sit down to eat at the same time so we had to feed the kids first and then the adults could have theirs. That’s just nitpicking though!

Enough space for a family get together.

Pros: This is a very large house, deceptive from the front. Everything we needed was provided. Beds were comfortable. House was quiet. Very clean. The hosts emailed however I do not have easy access to emails from my phone so was unable to communicate.

Cons: There was very little parking. We had 5 cars but only parking for 3 which was up the street in front of a garage, albeit there was plenty of space 'up to the right in the housing estate' where we parked the other cars. There is no access for an electric vehicle plug. On leaving a car had parked outside the property therefore not having easy access to cars made packing cars not the easiest of jobs. We were required to leave the property at 10am.

Superb, Luxury stay in quaint little seaside village.

Pros: Everything. It was really well equipped. Super Comfortable and lovely and clean

Cons: Bins outside needed emptying.

Lovely family seaside holiday home

Pros: Very clean, well maintained. Nice location, 15 minute walk to beach, good access to the Lake District. Good ratio of 4 toilets to number of guests. Big garden. Social areas.

Cons: Some issues with electrics on arrival, but letting agents quick to respond and find solution. Unfortunately no recycling bin but is getting replaced.

Pros: The house was very clean and well organised everything. Everything is spacious and had a large dining table. Spacious living room and kitchen. Perfect stay for everything.
