Fantastic

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at Lowthwaite B&B. The location is perfect – peaceful with stunning views, and the sound of the running stream outside was genuinely calming. Jim was a great host, welcoming and helpful without being intrusive. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the breakfast each morning was excellent. The fresh muffins for the drive home were a lovely touch. There’s also a really nice pub just five minutes away in Dockray, so it’s very easy to get to everything you need. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Peaceful stay near Ullswater.

Pros: Peaceful, rural location, great hospitality, fantastic breakfast. Lots of walks from the property and a few miles away around Ullswater. Had visited previously and will definitely return.

Beautiful location

Pros: Beautiful cottage in a remote part of fells overlooking Helvelyn.. Lovely quiet furnished room and bathroom. Very varied and well cooked breakfast.

Cons: I realized it was remote when I booked it. It did take me a while to find the property. Would have been easier to drive and find in daylight.

Fantastic little find and great hosts!

Pros: The hosts. Great friendly and hospitable hosts who made my 18 year old and his girlfriend feel very welcome. And they loved the home made muffin treats!!

Cons: Everything about the property was superb! Even saw a red squirrel and some gorgeous birds in the garden terrace attached to the room.
