Spacious lodge for a great family holiday.

Pros: Very spacious lodge surrounded by a nice private garden with decking access on three sides.. Very good communication with the owners making access easy.. Plenty of information inside the property to answer all your questions. Well laid out parking area giving good close access to the property . This was a Family Christmas holiday and the lodge had been decorated throughout. The rooms were warm on arrival and the complementary hamper basket including fresh milk( in the fridge) was appreciated. All the lodge advert photos give you a true impression of the property.. Plenty of facilities… to prepare and cook a full Christmas dinner and Boxing Day meals. The paved footpath to Kippford is just across from the lodge entrance ( nice for the doggies). We thoroughly recommend the lodge and hope to return sometime next year to explore further this wonderful area..

Pros: Beautiful appointed lodge spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was catered for. Plenty of parking space. The paddock is so peaceful .

Cons: Host gave us the wrong keycode number not acceptable when i had my 83 year old mum haging about outside at night in the freezing cold. When i called host was quite abrupt and said a new number was on information sent which it wasnt. In the welcome pack within the lodge the number was the wrong one i had been given. Also i was contacted by host for payment that had already been sent. Poor customer service. Shame as lodge was fabulous

We have stayed before and will stay again. We loved the lodge, it was quiet and scenic (especially when frosty outside)

Pros: We loved the location and the coziness of a lodge.

Cons: An issue with one of our party unable to have a bath due to tap not working.

Pros: Nice spacious log cabin. Very well equipped Warm Absolutely massive television in the living area Washing machine and drier available plus dish washer. Various ovens and an air frier available. 2 bathrooms one ensuite. One large double bed the other bedrooms had 2 single beds in each. Good location and quiet.

Cons: Some beds too springy, but very hard to please everyone when it come to beds. Could do with a few maintenance issues dealing with. A couple of window handles broken or stiff which felt like they where going to break. The decking areas have various rotten panels and posts and need staining to protect from the Scottish weather.

A fabulous spacious lodge, pet friendly, walking distance to Kippford - highly recommend 😃

Pros: Well equipped and very comfortable lodge. Great location, within easy walking distance of Kippford village, which has two decent pubs with beer gardens and a lovely tea room, all of which have magnificent views over the estuary.

Great chalet in nice quiet location. Excellent value for money and would highly recommend.

Pros: Easy to find and gain entry. Great location with lots of nice touches on arrival, such as thermostat set at just the right temperature and complimentary wine and biscuits. Nicely furnished and cleanliness to a five star hotel standard.

Cons: Weather was crap which is out with hosts control.

Pros: The lodge is in a beautiful, quiet location. The inside is very clean. It is well equipped with everything you need, and the beds are lovely and comfortable.
