best place to stay

Pros: Amazing view. Quick wifi. Everything was spotless. Owners were very helpful when there was a powercut. Bought us lights and wood for the fire. Even hot water.. it was a good experience. will come back here again and will try and avoid the storms next time 😁

Cons: nothing to dislike really. Just the crazy drivers on the road 🤣

Not long enough! It was a flying visit to attend a wedding. It would have been nice to stay longer

Pros: We were attending a wedding at Glenapp Castle which was under 5 minutes drive away, so perfect location. Very comfortable beds. Fabulous views over fields. Open fire which was laid ready for us to light in the evening.

Cons: It would have been nice to have a second bathroom, either as an en-suite off the downstairs bedroom or accessed from the hall.

West coast for a week.

Pros: Lovely house just outside the village. Handy for golf up the coast and close enough to some great walks past Stranraer or along the coast.

Cons: One bathroom was tight but we worked around it.

Wonderfully relaxing stay :)

Pros: The house was spotlessly clean, has everything you could need and beds are comfortable. Location is fantastic - beautiful countryside views and close enough to the quiet beach for walks. We enjoyed sunny days followed by a cosy fire in the evening - had a wonderfully relaxing weekend! And would highly recommend to anyone looking for the same :)

Cons: Only thing for me was lack of enclosed garden area for the dog as we had nice weather and ordinarily would have left her to explore the garden but didn’t want to risk her wandering on to the road. As we were only there for a few days it wasn’t an issue but worth keeping in mind for longer stays.

Exceptional & welcoming !

Pros: The lodge is really cosy & comfortable with plenty of space for 5 adults. An exceptional welcome pack from the owners - thank you ! Lovely welcoming touches everywhere, everything & everybody was catered for. The location is wonderfully scenic & quiet with beautiful views and lots of places to see close by. Would highly recommend !

Cons: Only having one toilet in the bathroom definitely caused a queue for 5 adults, we managed !

Pros: The location was second to none, the views and silence made me want to stay forever, The property was big enough for all of us, and the surrounding areas were great for long lazy walks. And great conversation with the cows.

Pros: Lovely, cosy space with great wood fire. Very comfortable and well supplied, super clean, beautiful view and walks direct from the cottage. Secluded and peaceful but close to nice village and beach. Helpful and kind hosts.

Pros: Great location quiet and peaceful, the house was fab clean and comfortable, great parking at the property, lots of wildlife to sit and watch, close to shops at Girvan and Stranraer, we loved the open fire as it went nippy in the evening, good communication with the host always replied promptly to answer any questions we had, overall would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful break.

Cons: Only issue was only having one bathroom, for the two of us it was perfect but if all our other family had been able to make the holiday 6 in total it would have been a bit of a struggle.
