Pros: Great location with a small stream behind the cottage. 10 minute drive to Keswick, super convenient and straightforward. Customer support via a phone number so can't contact the owners directly but that wasn't an issue (+ an emergency phone number). Clean, tidy and comfy. Electric fire in the living room was great!

Cons: Fridge door opens into the kitchen doorway which is peculiar. The entire house alarm went off an hour before our departure time - inconvenient and annoying as there was no way we could turn it off..

We would have stayed again in July but there was no reservations so ironically we are staying in the cottage right above

Pros: The Most Idyllic And Quiet Place we have ever stayed (and we have stayed in a lot of places in Keswick Braithwaite and Thornthwaite) the cottage is Huge and is tastefully furnished and Decorated. We were dying to see the Red Squirrels and we Bought some appropriate food,Next Morning two of them but that’s the only time they came within our week but we did leave them loads of food when we left.Oh and we also filled up the two Empty Bird Feeders in the Trees in the garden.

Cons: If We have to be Brutally honest then The Sitting room carpet definitely needs a professional Steam Clean otherwise it’s Perfection.

Stunning location

Pros: House is in a fab location - hence the return visit. New doors and fridge freezer and fresh furniture in the 2nd living room since last year. Take the path up the hill and walk in the woods, paddle in the stream, sit on a huge rock and read a book. Heaven. Definitely likely to return a 3rd time.

Cons: Small niggles - Not sure who had been in before us but there were a few bits not quite cleaned up, dirty towel, false eyelashes (!) etc- but the cleaner may have had their work cut out doing the turnaround if the previous people had left a mess. / we also had one in the party allergic to feathers so couldn’t use her duvet - I personally loved the duvet but a bit awkward for my friend. Also my husband had to sort the boiler/radiators as there was a few cold showers had on the 1st morning. But once he’d sorted it all fine. Perfect for Keswick Covention if you don’t mind driving in and parking.

We loved it Thankyou to the owners.

Pros: Location beautiful beside stream. Garden bushes/trees need to be cut back as they obstruct view when sitting in garden. Good size, well equipped, nice and modern, clean, need a cheese slicer in kitchen though. The heating came on when temperature fell, this was brilliant we were never cold the fire was also a nice top up. Beautiful property.

Cons: The smell of must/damp was extreme/overwhelming when we arrived, it was as if it had been empty for a long time. We had to open all windows and buy a scented candle. Drains need bleaching/cleaning. Also need a dryer to dry clothes.
