1 The Croft

We’ll be back!

Pros: A fabulous little cottage right in the heart of Cockermouth. Handy for the shops and restaurants - and to go exploring. Space for one car to park (tight if you car is big), but there is a carpark just over the footbridge for additional cars. We will use again.

Cons: We found it hard to find in the dark - but I hadn’t screen shot the bottom of the instructions!

Pros: Very clean and well maintained, perfect location for our needs and host local on hand if requured

Pros: We had a fantastic comfortable stay at 1 The Croft. The location was great, very central with gorgeous river views. It was a great base for our walking plans, and close to all amenities in Cockermouth. We really enjoyed our stay and could have happily stayed a little longer.

Very comfortable and great facilities in a perfect location for the northern Lake District.

Pros: Perfect location for exploring the northern lakes; very comfortable and walking distance to pubs, restaurants and a large supermarket. The dedicated parking place was a major plus.

Spacious, clean, fully equiped and great location!

Pros: The property was spacious and in a great location. The parking space was very helpful and we got another spot in the car park just across the bridge and paid for 48 hours which was perfect. The house was very clean and had everything we needed including some thoughtful extras. We loved being right next to the river and within a couple of minutes from town. Cockermouth is busy (not noisy) in the evening and plenty of coffee shops and other shops in the day time. Linda was a great host - communicated well and was helpful in answering my questions. I highly recommend this house.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: I thought the facilities were brilliant. We had everything we needed.

Cons: There was a slight smell that we couldn't put our finger on, maybe zoflora a little over powering.

A beautiful riverside retreat.

Pros: As soon as we opened the door we could feel it nice and warm and cosy.

Cons: The directions were quite difficult to follow, especially as it was dark, also it was just as well I have a torch on my phone so I could see the code on the keysafe, a light would be useful. My sister and I both found the pillow too high, 2 separate pillows would be better.

A great stay, very enjoyable and perfect location

Pros: Nice layout and perfect position with the Fiver Cocker flowing next to the rear, a two minutes walk to Sainsbury’s Supermarket and 5 mins walk to town centre. Good car park too

Cons: Having to leave!

Very comfortable and home from home stay .

Pros: Property was very comfortable and it was like home from home .

Cons: It’s not I didn’t like , just that the parking space was too small for my car . I parked across the river in the public car park , which is conveniently directly opposite the property.

Pros: Location. Right in town, right next to the river. Roomy comfortable and clean. Full sized fridge- excellent Parking on site is tight, so will need a small vehicle

Cons: Water pressure- but not a deal breaker
