A relaxing stay in a cosy cottage

Pros: Great location for walking. Very clean and warm, close to a lovely cafe and nice pub. Elterwater is very picturesque.

Cons: Just one small suggestion. There were two large saucepans which weren’t really suitable for one boiled egg or porridge for one so a smaller pan would be good.

Extremely quiet, rural location in comfortable cottage

Pros: Everything you could want inside including dishwasher tablets. Large powerful shower, comfortable bed, WiFi. Extremely quiet, silent at night, couldn’t hear a thing, not even the people above. Close to a good pub for food and real ale. Great location for hill walking. Bus stop which goes hourly to Great Langdale one way and Ambleside the other.

Cons: I appreciate that it has off road parking, which is at a premium, but it’s tight as 3 properties have a parking space, I would have struggled without a reversing camera on my car. I was on my own but another person would also help. It’s a very rural location, if you don’t like driving on narrow Lake District roads don’t stay here!

Well presented holiday home

Pros: Clean well positioned had everything you need. Very spacious

Cons: A car parked in front of our door they said always parked there so didn’t move. Whilst we could have parked across the gates due to snow and ice we weren’t keen so had to park elsewhere
