Great for a weekend exploring the North Lakes

Pros: Great location, the house was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed.

Lovely character property

Pros: Lovely historical property with character and charm. The location is in the centre of the village with parking right next to the door which is very convenient. Inside there is a comfy living area and beautiful kitchen. There are lots of nice touches that make it very welcoming such as tea, coffee, red bush tea and porridge. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was modern and light.

Cons: The house is historic so felt stone cold definitely character building.

Great little home

Pros: Such a nice little house with everything we needed for our nights stay. Close to the Cumbria way so perfect for anyone doing the walk. Pub only 30 seconds walk away which was great!

Prefect little stay

Pros: Great location bed was super comfy. I can't recommend enough

Pros: Lovely cottage. All the necessary equipment and facilities. Easy to contact owners. Pub close by.

Cons: Local shop closed lunchtime on Saturday and all day Sunday - so need to bring food. Not easy when hiking Cumbrian Way.

Very comfortable stay in a delightful village

Pros: The house is in a beautiful location, the village has a shop and a pub and is very quiet. The refurbishment is first class with a fully equipped kitchen, 2 lovely bedrooms, clean and modern bathroom and a comfortable lounge. Tea, coffee, milk etc was very useful as we arrived on a Sunday evening. Parking right outside was very easy as was access to the accommodation. Great for visiting the Lake District. Would definitely stay again!

Pros: Gorgeous village Appreciated the ice ready in the icebox! Hot weather.

Cons: Property was fully as described, and suited well. Because I am a bit disabled, having a toilet on only one level is always difficult for me as an aside, but I could make one doable suggestion - put a grab bar and shelf in the shower perhaps?

Pros: Everything necessary was there. Lovely village atmosphere.

comfortable clean cottage in a great location

Pros: The location was great for hiking in the Lakes. The beds were comfortable. The cottage was nice and cool in the heatwave. The kitchen is well stock, there is a good shower, and a comfortable sofa. There is a local shop and a pub a 2 minute walk away.
