Borrowdale View

Fantastic property in Keswick, perfect for a relaxing, exploring or both.

Pros: We recently spent the weekend at Borrowdale View, it's a wonderful property in a fantastic location on the outskirts of Keswick. On arrival the house was well prepared, very clean with excellent facilities. It's a short 10 mins walk into the centre of Keswick and we managed to get out for two days of walking around the area. Communication prior to arrival was also excellent and overall I would highly recommend Borrowdale View, we had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Cons: We had nothing to complain about, everything was perfect.

This was a house in a great location with fantastic facilities that made our stay memorable.

Pros: The location of the property was excellent and close to plenty of activities which suited us as we didn't need to drive anywhere.

Cons: A minor point would be there were some instructions for some of the kitchen appliances but not the oven, which would have helped.

A fantastic family weekend and a very comfortable stay

Pros: It was a lovely big house, fully kitted out, plenty parking. Beds were comfy and clean. Nice that owner asked how we wanted beds (double or twins). Very close to Keswick town centre too.

Cons: Not much we didn’t like, we were all very impressed. Only slight negative was it could have been cleaner. The floors in the living room were not clean, big hanging cobwebs in kitchen but this is just a small thing as everything else was great.

Ideal for a large group

Pros: Ideal location as within walking distance to the centre. The house is a great size and as a party of 10 it was perfect with large dining, kitchen and living areas. We wanted to be near the centre but not right in the middle so it was perfect. Ample parking for our three cars.

Cons: Very little to dislike but we did have issues with one of the showers and one of the sinks is cracked. We reported the shower and action was taken to have it repaired - can’t ask for any more

Lovey and easy

Pros: Excellent location Plenty of room for all the family Toddler friendly Linen and towels provided

Cons: Upstairs bathroom needs decorating lots of paint peeling off the ceiling. Need outdoor lights it was very dark. Advertised as having steaming services available which it didn’t and actually no tv channels at all in the main living room.

Pros: Eveything! This is one amazing property and it blew us all away. Absolutely the best week we could have hoped for.

Fantastic property in the Lakes for a large group

Pros: Outstanding property for a large group. 6 bedrooms, fantastic kitchen area for socialising and huge living room. Ample parking and within walking distance of Keswick town centre. Communication with Glen was excellent throughout. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Cons: A dog friendly area on the patio/garden would have been great. Dog gates are all around the house, if some of those got put on the patio that would be great so you could socialise on the patio and your dogs be safe. But otherwise, the house is simply awesome.

Highly recommend Barrowdale View for a large group of family. Would love to stay again next time we are in England.

Pros: Very clean, comfortable, spacious, very well stocked with everything you needed. Great for a large group but with perfect spaces to have your own private area. It was only a short walk to town and to the Pheasant for a fantastic meal. The view from the house was fantastic. Host was very responsive.

Cons: Nothing- it was perfect!
