Very much enjoyed despite awful weather.

Pros: Very isolated location, which I like. Very simple but adequate accommodation. Cozy

Cons: You just turn up and the key is in the door. Never saw anyone while I was there. A brief welcome from the landlord, even by phone, would have been nice.

Cosy little cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting surrounded by stunning scenery and near a lovely market town.

Pros: Beautiful location, very near to Keswick, with spectacular views and very peaceful. Cosy cottage with comfortable bed and sofa and lovely hot shower. Great Wi-Fi, which was unexpected. My Cockapoo was happy there!

Cons: I couldn’t get the oven to work. I downloaded the instruction manual from the website and could get the microwave to work - although it was temperamental- but not the oven. I was very nervous about driving down the single track access road but that’s just me probably.

Pros: We were satisfied with our stay. The accommodation was comfortable, and we had all the amenities we needed. The place was absolutely quiet and peaceful for sleeping. We would recommend this place.

Pros: Very quiet place. Views are amazing, you can admire the power of blancathra every morning.Its biggest advantage is that it is a secluded place and there are not many people there so even if someone is there you can feel at ease. Also large places for dogs to run fenced off from the sheep. Although you have to be careful with small dogs because they can squeeze under the gate. Another nice thing is that right after leaving the property there is a large field behind which you can take a walk near the river. The cottage itself was very comfortable, there was enough space and had everything you need.

Cons: The main problem is with the shower. It is leaking, water running onto the floor from under the shower towards the toilet and the door is barely hanging on to the rails, in fact we had to tighten it because it almost fell off when we tried to close it first time. The other thing was that the carpet smelled a bit like someone before us vomit near the table, we bought fabric refresher and it wasn't a big deal but just something to bear in mind as it wasn't pleasant when we got in. The mattress feels a bit worn out. There is room for improvements.

A peaceful, stunning stay in a beautiful location. Would visit again!

Pros: Cosy little cottage in the perfect location for the lakes and hills.

Looking for a relaxed break, lots of walks with exceptional views, we would highly recommend

Lovely, clean and comfortable place in great location for Keswick.

Pros: Great location and comfortable little place. The bedroom was especially cosy and we slept so well!

Cons: Totally appreciate that the kitchen space is limited, but it would have been handy to have a microwave for ease. Perhaps it could fit in the ironing cupboard? The boiler was set to hot water only so it was very cold at the property when we arrived (12 degrees in August!) We found the boiler and figured it out but would have been great to have instructions just in case other people have the same issue in unseasonably cold weather - we did try to call before accessing the boiler but we got no answer. It heated up in no time and was really cosy so it wasn’t a problem for us, just a suggestion for simple instructions so people don’t mess with the boiler settings too much!

Pros: Het is een heerlijke rustige en prachtig zicht op de omgeving. Het huisje is comfortabel.

Cons: Het huis is somber omdat het slechts een klein raam heeft. Er is geen ontvangst en toelichting. Je deelt de buitenruimte met bewoners en andere gasten. Daardoor buiten geen privacy. De keuken is erg beperkt qua inrichting.
