A late Victorian mansion, Somerton House Hotel bears the distinctive red sandstone like much of the buildings within the town of Lockerbie. A very pleasant stop over and would like to return for a longer stay to explore the surrounding areas

Pros: This hotel is in a perfect spot just off the motorway in lovely countryside. The staff are excellent. We had only booked an hour before and asked for dinner, despite being fully booked with a large celebration group they fitted us in. The service was excellent, the food was superb and we would never have known they were under pressure. It really shows that the quality of this family run hotel. We have stayed here before and will again.

Ideal location at a fair price.

Pros: A lovely hotel within 10 mins walk to Lockerbie town centre just what we needed , easy to locate and pet friendly. Good few pubs in the town that also cater. The staff were very friendly and accomadating, just a nice hotel that is well run and a fair price.

Cons: Nothing to report.

Pros: Extremely accommodating. Great food, it's quite popular with locals for dining so that tells you something about the food. Breakfast from 7am was ideal. Spacious parking area. Evening meal until 8.30pm also ideal for working longer hours. Not much not to like about this hotel, it's in keeping with stlye and expectation for a little Scottish town with no let downs to report. I will book here again next time I'm working in the area.
