A friendly hotel in a great location

Pros: Wonderful location and stunning view from our top bedroom across the Irish Sea, we could see Ireland.

Cons: Our bathroom was cold because the radiator wasn’t working. The food was not ok but not great.

A lovely start to 2026 in beautiful surroundings

Pros: Ideal location with great views across the sea to Northern Ireland. Comfortable bar and restaurant area. Happy and attentive staff.

Cons: Bathroom was a wee bit on the drafty side. Lovely stand alone bath but no facility to shower / attach shower head to.

absolutely fantastic

Pros: We were in the Buchannan suite, the views over the Irish sea were amazing. The room was big comfortable and luxurious the settee in front of the window was perfect for sitting on and watching the waves crash on the shore, we loved the room. The food we ordered was excellent both evenings and the breakfasts were absolutely perfect we couldn't fault the food it was fresh and delicious equally were seated at a table with amazing views. the staff, well the staff were very tentative and friendly nothing was too much bother, as they say arrive as a guest leave as a friend certainly seems to fit the bill.

Cons: leaving, we wanted to stay longer ! but we will definitely be back. the only thing I would say is a few little cobwebs on the window in the bathroom and on the light fitting, which would be difficult to get too due to the positioning of the bath directly below it.

Perfect hotel and location.

Pros: Quite possibly one of my most favourite hotels and location. I honestly couldn't fault it. Its set up a small hill so the views were stunning. The room was amazing, clean and comfortable. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. Ian also went that extra mile for us which was hugely appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel.

Cons: Loved everything so wouldn't change a thing.
