A really good, warm and welcoming place to stay.

Pros: Convenient location. Spacious but cosy atmosphere. Good food. Spotlessly clean. Dog friendly with the option to remain away from main dining area.

Cons: Inconvenienced by shower not working. HOWEVER, as soon as the manager was told we were provided with alternative facilities.

Pros: The staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them. The room was brilliant and clean and comfortable. The food was really tasty. As we were leaving before breakfast they left us some fruit, yoghurt and croissants. Such a lovely place. They were really happy to accommodate our animals aswell.

It was very nice - very comfortable great food and a great location. Would recommend highly

Pros: Breakfast was substantial - they are very conveniently placed for people passing through. It is great that they have a variety of rooms to choose from for families

Cons: Having to write two reviews and needing to write an essay each time is off-putting. would prefer not to have to use Booking.com!!!

Very nice, very pleased, good value for money.

Pros: Spacious warm room and friendly efficient staff. Bed was huge and comfy with nice fluffy towels. Shortbread was lovely. More tea bags and milk would be nice. The Thursday Β£50 steak and a bottle of wine looked good, with nice big steaks. Yoghurts were delicious, as were the eggs (free range maybe?). Nice dog walks close by and a path direct to the door from the car park. Nice kids play area across the car park.

Cons: It’s trivia really, but the room needs a bit of TLC - the window frames are rotten and covered in condensation. Shower tile grout and silicon needs refreshing. The breakfast was nice but the croissants were tiny and the bread was cheap sliced bread. The menu was nice but unbalanced, lacking in veggie options or options for non red meat eaters. The Β£150 room, breakfast and dinner deal wasn’t shown on Booking.com.

Warm and cosy lovely shower and nice big towels!

Pros: Generous breakfast offering everything anyone could want. Difficult for kitchens ot offere GF options these days?! Personally we would have liked to eat earlier than 8:30 so that we could get on the road...

Cons: Nothing it is a busy atmospheric pub just on the outskirts of the city - perfect for us
