Secluded break

Pros: Great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfeast was delicious. The app is a great way to get some free extras.

Cons: The bed was slightly on the firm side for me.

Great base for exploring the lakes

Pros: Lovely atmosphere & friendly staff - the room was a good size, well decorated & very clean. Also really quiet for being above a busy pub.

Pros: Loved the location very peaceful and tranquil . The room was cozy and comfortable with adequate furnishings

Cons: The atmosphere was a bit lacking and staff was friendly but did need some training in customer service (engaging with customers) the room had old cobwebs in but didn't effect the stay the cost of food and drink was very high rate for the accommodation

Pros: I was travelling alone for the first time and they really made me feel safe, even changed my room so I was inside the hotel as some rooms are across the way. They gave me a free spa pass also as it was my birthday.

Great stay, great food, friendly staff - all for a decent price.

Pros: Dinner and Breakfast where amazing, and the staff were brilliant at getting us booked in for dinner at short notice. Staff friendly.

Cons: Bar could have stayed open a little longer - it closed at 10pm.

Pros: Clean, comfortable, cosy room. Good pub food. Good service. Warm and welcoming.

Pros: Comfortable clean room. Nice bar area and characterful residents bar. Friendly staff and good service. Good choice of hot breakfasts and cold options including fruit and natural yogurt, cereal and pastries. Perfect for walkers with walks from the door or within short driving distance access to the mountains and high fells.

Cons: Very small window making the room dark.

Pros: Stuart and his staff were brilliant. In particular Alison could not have done more to make our stay a complete pleasure. We will be going back.

Lovely, relaxing break

Pros: Good size room, beautifully decorated with comfortable king size bed and tea and coffee making facilities. Very quiet with view of gardens.

Cons: Location a little far from nearest town. You have to drive to get to nearest facilities.

The Pheasant Inn is a lovely place to stay with friendly service and great value for money!

Pros: Staff were so welcoming, friendly, and helpful, which created such a lovely atmosphere. Rooms were well kept and clean. Plenty of parking available either at the front or down the side. I attended a wedding in the area so the late night access with your own access was perfect!

Cons: This is just a preference, but updating the menu to include GF, Vegetarian and Vegan symbols would be great. My dad and I have coeliac disease (wheat/gluten free) and we had to search through an allergen sheet, which was hard to read from. It would be better if it was on one menu.
