A great place to stay when you have hiked Scafell

Pros: A lovely place to spend the afternoon, evening and morning after an epic hike to Englands highest peak. Nothing fancy, just super comfortable, welcoming and cosy.

Pros: Excellent location, great pub food and cozy space, amazing river view from the window

Cons: One bedside table was missing, breakfast - sausage and bacon overcooked

Pros: Friendly nice and warm a really shelter from the storm

Cons: Not too hot on dogs around tables whilst people are eating but small in comparison

Pros: Great location close to scarfel pike and other moutains. Nice area to stay for the night. Breakfast in the morning was also great. Plenty of food. Well done to the chefs 👍

Cons: Only thing I can say was the room needed a good hoover as it was a bit bitty. And some of the light fittings were loose. Apart from that I enjoyed my stay at the bridge inn

Okay but Lake District prices...

Pros: Characterful building. Breakfast was good. Nice bathroom. Lots of free parking.

Cons: Room was quite small and directly above the bar so we heard voices until 11 pm. Quiet overnight. Hospitality tray bit basic.

A lovely night spent here.

Pros: The room was large and comfortable with dogs allowed. The bar and lounge were very comfortable and homely with a good menu. Both evening meal and breakfast were good value and tasty. All members of the team we encountered were friendly and helpful.
