Lakeside Country Guest House

We’ve had two cozy heart-warming stays this year at this lovely couples’ guest house and we will definitely return

Pros: Spotlessly clean , Very comfortable , location really suits us as near lake and within easy driving distance of some of our favourite places , quiet and peaceful , had everything we could hope for and absolutely delicious breakfast with lots of choice

We had a great time in a relaxing B&B in a fabulous area.

Pros: Clean, comfortable and inviting. Tim and Karen were wonderful hosts and breakfast was second to none, recommend vegetarian menu.

Pros: Location was easy to find off the A66. The guest house was exceptional. Breakfast was amazing and hosts went above and beyond. Would definitely return if we go back to Lake District.

Pros: What we really liked about the property was how welcoming and comfortable it felt from the moment we arrived. The breakfasts were a real treat each morning – fresh, plentiful, and delicious – and the views from the house made our stay feel extra special. The rooms were cosy and relaxing, and the peaceful atmosphere was perfect for a short break. Most of all, the hosts made the experience wonderful – so friendly, accommodating, and always happy to help. We’d also recommend dinner at De Brito’s and a visit to Blackwell House for its serene atmosphere, gardens, and café

Gorgeous location, friendly hosts

Pros: Tim & Karen were excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome and at home. The property is gorgeous and we had a beautiful room (room 1) at the front with views over the lake. Breakfast we had outside on the terrace and was gorgeous too. Thanks guys for a lovely stay!

Pros: Breakfast was excellent & great location ... very comfy bed

Cons: the price is a bit high and would have loved to have a bar there .... and whilst there is a lovely pub 10mins walk away, I'd have prefered to have sat outside at the guest house.

Clean and comfy with great breakfast and wonderful staff.

Pros: The breakfast was excellent as was the cleanliness. A great option available for breakfast. Staff were wonderful and helpful. View from the room was good. The bed was really comfy.

Cons: We would have preferred having an en suite to the room.

Gorgeous guest house in excellent location

Pros: Excellent location with lots to do within walking distance and also on excellent bus route to nearby towns. Online link to order from an expansive breakfast menu with options for all. Tim & Karen were very welcoming, friendly & helpful. Room was a good size with very comfortable bed.
