Excellent Place To Stop In the Lakes

Pros: Very comfortable bed (and carpets!), brilliant stock in the bathroom and complimentary tray, excellent breakfast cooked to preference along with a variety of continental bites. Host was very knowledgeable and happy to chat.

Cons: The village itself has very little in the way of shops for amenities. But it is rural so that is mostly to be expected, close enough to other places if you have a car but if you are hiking it's a bit of a stretch.

Pros: Jo is an excellent host. Lovely breakfast and cosy room with all tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits. Great wifi, parking, and hot shower.

Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Lovely cosy and warm! Perfect location for heading up Scafell Pike! Breakfast was great and plenty of options!

Pros: Lovely welcome by owner who met us as we parked. Rooms were lovely and exceded my expectation. Breakfast was very tasty and lots of variation on offer.

Pros: Nice rooms, super cheap and great quality. Shower and bath facilities were really nice.

Cons: Parking area was a bit of a pain to get in and out but that’s all.

Pros: The hostess was incredibly attentive. The room was wonderfully decorated and had everything you might need. Clearly the hostess has put in a lot of effort to make us feel like we’re at home. She also told us about all the sites we could visit and the B&B is very close to the most beautiful out of all the lakes we visited.

Cons: The town was quite small and there aren’t that many things to do in it. But the hostess is knowledgeable about the region and guided us to what we can do and where we can go

Perfect home from home stay in the most beautiful place in England.

Pros: We had an amazing stay at Dale View.. Host has thought of every little detail and the breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Location is fantastic for exploring the West side of the Lake District and is only a short drive to Wasdale Head if you're brave enough to attempt the Scafell Pike climb. The view of the sun rising from the bedroom window is magical.

Cons: There is absolutely nothing not to like about the property and the experience staying here.

Pros: Located really close the the finest mountains to walk in England

A nice restful stay after a day in the hills.

Pros: Very cosey and quiet location. Clean and well presented room with lots of extras. Nicely decorated throughout and trimmed up for the festive period
