Great cosy Inn.

Pros: The Inn its self is Clean and tidy and old fashioned and this creates a lovely cosy atmosphere. The food ordered from the menu on an evening is exceptional. We really enjoyed it and the portion sizes make it really good value.

Cons: Some staff were unprofessional on a morning in the breakfast dining area towards one other member of staff. The ensuite in our room was very small and on my booking I booked a double room with one double bed but our room had an extra single bed so I think we may have been given the wrong room. Although to was comfortable and clean and tidy. The breakfast is a little confusing, as full English doesn't include beans or black pudding, but these can be ordered as additional items. Unfortunately we did not know this as we were not told and we did not see any signs or literature stating this. We had realised after the first morning when we saw other guests with there items on their breakfast.

Fantastic 3 day stay

Pros: Everything.😃 Stayed here before many years ago and have visited for meals when in the area. It has been modernised/decorated and extended since I was last here. Our room was not in the main building, but just 100yds away. The full english breakfast was great and delivered very quickly. There are also veggie options plus cereals, fruit juices etc. The menu is varied and all the food is great, the portions are very large!! I would highly recommend this hotel.

Cons: We had to leave!!

Pros: Great location, incredible views, lovely staff, comfortable and clean room. Lovely roaring open fire in the bar.

Cons: There’s nothing we didn’t like. And when we did have any issues, the staff team sorted it very quickly for us

Friendly small traditional inn in a perfect location. Excellent varied food.

Pros: Friendly small inn. Welcoming and helpful staff. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent, varied and met our specialist dietary requirements with no fuss. Perfect location. Very easy to get to by public transport. You don't need a car.

Cons: Be aware that this is a 'dog friendly hotel'. We didn't mind but there were a lot of dogs in all parts of the building, including the dining room. Could do with having some dog free space for those with allergies or nervous around dogs.

Fantastic staff, Comfy bed, The best food around and the hotel in situated on a beautiful hill side.

Pros: The staff are all excellent, very helpful and go out of their way to make your stay the best that can be. The food is exceptional and the portions are absolutely massive for dinner and breakfast. If I was to stay here for 2 weeks I would put on 3 stone. (Joke) Serious though you will not get better food anywhere like this. The bar area's are fantastic and both with open fires and it is a bonus for folk who have a pet with them. All in all we had a great stay with the best staff you could ask for.

Cons: The room was ok but the bathroom was a bit too small as when you go to brush your teeth it is difficult to bend as the sink has a glass shelf that you hit your head on it, also your backside hits the wall, roughly about 3ft, one meter, also the shower is very tight to turn in and shower yourself. Other than that all was ok in the room. Comfy bed and real quality pillows and duvet. One other thing was the pints, £5.50 for Fosters was a bit OTT for me.
