Pros: The most dog friendly place we've ever stayed! This place feels like you're staying at someone's beautiful home and treated as their guest. The staff literally could not do enough for you, they're so friendly and engaging and attentive. Everywhere is so clean and well decorated, and the FOOD. The food is phenomenal. Great location overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake and a short drive from Keswick. There's a warm water dog bath outside for cleaning the pooches after muddy walks, fresh towels at the door for drying them off, a little place to pop your muddy boots and the comfiest seating areas inside where you can have a drink and just admire the views.
Cons: There's nothing we didn't like!

Amazing
Pros: This hotel (the location, atmosphere, rooms, food and staff are all brilliant), it’s a lovely place to come and relax but then a great location to be able to access the forest through to the mountains. Delicious food and great service. Very accommodating to dogs too. I would 100% recommend this hotel to others and we will be returning!

Fabulous dog friendly hotel
Pros: Wonderful hotel with fabulous views from our front facing room. The hotel is very comfortable and cosy, and the bar area is relaxing - even more so by the many well-behaved dogs (and their owners) we experienced. Room, food, and wine were all exceptional, and breakfast was outstanding. We'll definitely be back (just need a dog)

Excellent short break.
Pros: We have stayed at the Hotel before so knew what to expect. It is a quintessential country house hotel with a cosy relaxed ambience. What is noticeable and what sets it apart is the quality of the staff, they couldn't be more helpful, all work as a team and genuinely want to ensure guests enjoy their stay.

Fab stay, just lacking a little with the food. Expensive and a bit generic
Pros: Dog friendly throughout even down to hot hose outside for muddy paws.
Cons: Meals were pricey but you are a captive audience when staying there.
