Relaxing and enjoyable stay in a beautiful location

Pros: Our second visit to the Royal Oak. Lovely and comfortable hotel in a beautiful location. Relaxed atmosphere, well decorated and maintained rooms and great food. The drying room is very useful.

Pros: Rooms very lovely, hotel comfortable and welcoming relaxing! Endless tea and coffee, and scones at 3pm! 5 star !! Food very lovely too! We loved our stay!

A great place to stay with friendly staff, great service and comfortable rooms.

Pros: The room was cozy and comfortable, staff were very welcoming and friendly and the included breakfast was incredible the morning before a hike. Would definitely recommend!

A wonderful place to relax with great food. Will definitely return!

Pros: The Royal Oak was full of warmth and character. The staff were welcoming and friendly and looked after us very well. The gorgeous Christmas decorations made it even more special. Our room was very comfortable with stylish en suite - and great shower! The food was delicious. Great location for walking.

Cons: Can’t think of anything I would change. Possibly just having the fire on in the lounge area would have added to the atmosphere.

Lovely hotel in fantastic location

Pros: Lovely staff - excellent breakfast, comfortable bed.

Cons: Our bedroom was very cold during the early hours - could have done with some extra bedding but couldn't find any so put on extra clothes to keep warm.
