We were very happy with everything at Hazel Bank Guest House.

Pros: Hazel Bank country house was classy . Lovely decor and superb gardens and setting in the Borrowdale Valley. The food was exceptional. Delicious and very well presented. Enjoyed the formality of canapés in the lounge before dinner. Our host Gary made us feel very welcome throughout our stay.

Cons: Nothing requires improvement. We were very happy with everything.

Pros: Amazing service from Gary and his team. Food is definitely a must try! You can't miss this! Lots of good wine selections to go with the meals. We love the settings and felt very unique and everyone got treated very special. 🙂 We would love to stay longer if we could and try all the dining menus!

Set in spectacular scenery a lovely hotel with fantastic food.

Pros: Our second stay in this small but perfect Country House Hotel set in a beautiful quiet part of the Lakes. Lovely staff, fantastic food, all needs catered for.

Cons: There is nothing to not like about this hotel.

Fantastic.

Pros: Hazel Bank is set in the most beautiful peaceful location. Nature and wildlife all around. We had house martins nesting outside our window. Saw woodpeckers on the bird feeders and spotted a red squirrel too. The hotel is tastefully, traditionally decorated and furnished. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The food was amazing! We ate twice at the hotel. The meals were delicious and the four courses very filling. Graham and his team were excellent in their service.

Cons: Minor detail…. Lots of house-Martin’s poo on the windowsill. But they were nesting right above and honestly they were a joy to watch.
