Pros: We love everything about the property and the owner David is fab, we have stayed here previously.

Cons: There is Nothing to not like about the property at all.

Absolutely lovely. Milk and flapjacks were appreciated!

Pros: The room was comfortable and surprisingly big, the shower was also very spatious with really good pressure. Homemade flapjacks were a lovely touch!

Cons: lack of a toilet brush was perhaps a bit odd?

Pros: Great bed. Brilliant bathroom. Excellent care taken by owner

Cons: Fantastic stopover for a freshen up on the southern upland way

A little gem in St John's Town of Dalry

Pros: We had a fantastic stay. This is a very cosy and clean accommodation, the hosts are super helpful and very welcoming. Extremely good value for money and a really good accommodation when you're walking the Southern Upland Way.

Cons: Everything was perfect

Really enjoyed my 5 night stay in this quiet rural village, property has good clean facilities

Pros: Property is in a nice rural village, in a great location to visit all directions in Dumfries and Galloway.

Pros: It was a lovely location. Pub at the end of the road did great food.

Cons: It may have been my mistake but there was no kitchen. Milk was topped up regularly but kept in a cool bag, no fridge.

A lovely and convenient stop over, with the additional bonus of great support from the owner.

Pros: I got a lift to the property with the owner, so I got the keys then (I was on walking holiday and needed transport from the trail). The property was very clean and comfortable, with some beautifully preserved furniture. The mix of items from different eras gave it a quirky and original feel. Spacious bathroom and good shower. I could hand wash some clothes and let them drip dry in the shower overnight. The owner was super supportive of walkers on the Southern Upland Way, providing a taxi service to and from the route and posting some equipment that I didn't need home for me. Great location in the centre of town.

Cons: There were no cooking facilities in the apartment, but pub food was available and the nearby general store and garage had supplies.

David is a fantastic host would definitely book there again

Pros: Lovely apartment, very clean lovely home made flap jacks on arrival, which were fantastic and fresh milk in a cooler.Nothing was to much trouble from our host.

Cons: The property is fantastic, nothing to not like 10/10 for us.

Really enjoyed our stay in this quaint little town and would definitely recommend a stop here.

Pros: Location was amazing beautiful little town with the hotel on outskirts of the town providing the best dinner of chicken, haggis, neeps and tattis. Very near loch Ken where we could snorkel. Lovely vibe around the town and views lovely.

Cons: Nothing everything was perfect

Pros: Well equipped, fabulous shower and lovely bathroom. . Fresh milk which was provided a lovely touch for someone like me who likes a coffee first thing in a morning.
