The Hydro Hotel

A winter weekend - the weather was cold but the welcome very warm !

Pros: Overall a very good stay. I picked the Hydro because of the booking ratings. welcome was excellent and Robert could not have been more accommodating. The Hydro is not a new hotel, and has that ‘well worn’ image. I have no problem with that - Robert’s recommendation for food at the Mexican restaurant in the basement was again - spot on. I had breakfast which was excellent - and very much up to the mark. It was well cooked and piping hot. Great coffee and top service. I”d happily stay again

This Hotel met all our needs and the staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much for them.

Pros: Breakfast was great could use better sausages. Excellent choice of full breakfast ,kippers fresh fruit cereal and yogourts fruit juice ,tea and coffea. Great service from very attentive friendly staff. Went out of there way for our dog. Great internal lift doesnt go to all floors but was great for us.They do have a Mexican eatary in the basement of the Hotel sadly didnt get chance to use it but locals do say how nice it is.

Cons: Cant say i didnt like anything just that the decor is tired could do with freshing up. Could do with more information about the parking prior to arrival and access to a parking disc that you must have and display wherever you park.

Pros: The Hydro Hotel is set in an ideal location right opposite the sea front. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: Could do with updating.

Pros: Fantastic location,Awsome Mexican down stairs,friendly staff and clean rooms lovely place to stay

Cons: One of the brew cups was dirty that’s it nothing major at all

Friendly hotel and near all amenities so was value for money

Pros: Good location and friendly staff, comfortable room and not noisy

Cons: Furniture was a bit dated and room could do with freshening up. Breakfast was a bit on cold side and over cooked.

Around it was a good hotel. Just busy enough.

Pros: Breakfast was good with the normal staple choice of food,and catered for allergies etc.

Lovely hotel.

Pros: The rooms were comfortable, the showers hot, the breakfast was great, and it was over the road from a beautiful beach. What more could you ask for?

Cons: The carpet on the first floor could possibly induce an epileptic fit, and would definitely overwhelm people on the spectrum

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. One of our party missed breakfast and needed to eat in order to take his medication. Staff brought him cereal even though it was after breakfast closed.

Pros: The staff were both helpful and welcoming. The room was very clean and comfy

Cons: With being older I just felt it was a bit far along from the main entertainment, but we solved that by getting the bus from right opposite the hotel

We would stay again

Pros: Staff friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and the best decaf coffee ive ever had. Needed taxi’s booking and was all taken care of by the staff.
