The Little Inn at Grasmere

Lovely relaxing stay

Pros: Room was lovely. Decor was great and bed very comfortable. Everything we needed, even had a small patio to sit out. Breakfast was really good and plenty of selection Staff helpful and friendly Location is perfect right in the centre of the Village.

Cons: Could have just done with a better light over the dressing table and mirror

Pros: Second stay now in the Little Grasmere Inn. Upon arrival Reception staff friendly and efficient. Location and hotel room fantastic. Massive bed, very comfy. Swimming pool looked fab but did not use. Breakfast lovely, lots of choice. Dog got sausage for breakfast too but you need to ask. Pleasant lounge, bar and conservatory area in main hotel. Very clean and great Bath House toiletries in the on-suite and public hotel toilets. Loved seeing the military planes doing practice flights over the mountains surrounding Grasmere. Brilliant bus service right outside hotel so could leave the car parked.

Cons: Lunch and evening food menu in bar seemed limited and more expensive for what you got than last time here. However it seems standard pricing for the area. Soup served in a tea cup instead of a soup bowl. It tasted so nice, would have liked a proper portion. Charged incorrectly at the bar on three occasions. Even though same order each time. Same excuse, when issue raised. When checking out, the Receptionist tried to charge again for our dog which I had paid for in full upon arrival 3 days prior along with the rest of the bill. Made to feel as if I had been trying to bypass paying with how she phrased her demand. She did later apologise. It seemed on this occasion of visiting was overcharged in other Grasmere businesses too as twice had to raise this issue when enjoying something to eat out. Watch out for this. Although these issues would stay again as such a lovely hotel.

A great midweek getaway. Lovely staff. Comfortable bed after a day in the hills.

Pros: Staff were lovely. Breakfast was good, needs a bigger coffee/ tea area if being picky. Enjoyed the pool, sauna and relaxation area. Nice quiet space in the main inn to read and relax.

Cons: We would have liked a window for some natural light. The loud music played during breakfast we a little much but we found an area in the ‘stable’ with no speaker.

Pros: The staff were lovely! The food at the Inn was outstanding!

Cons: Our bathroom, at the little inn, had mould on the ceiling, and occasionally there was a smell of drains blowing through the ceiling fan. The swimming pool needs an update.

Beautiful location, breakfast and other food also great. Staff work so hard and always so friendly and happy.

Very nice hotel in great location.

Pros: We had a family suite which was very nice. King size bed, bunk beds, sofa, two TV’s and huge bathroom. Location is great just over the road from the main hotel.

Cons: Very limited parking. Fairly big hotel with only space for around 15 cars. There is other parking nearby which is free after 6pm until 9am.

Mixed feelings, comfortable hotel, great location, friendly staff but sound issues spoiled it.

Pros: Location, breakfast, space was plentiful. Clean and quite comfortable. We arrived almost 2 hours before check in but were given our keys immediately, greatly appreciated.

Pros: Large comfortable room with a large bed, we always enjoy our stay which is why we keep coming back

Cons: For the size of the room the bathroom was tiny I had to sit sideways to go to the toilet and unable to dry yourself in the bathroom at 5ft 10 and my husband 6ft 1 it was a tight squeeze

Pros: Absolutely everything and everyone were amazing! Great location, room, food and drink and staff were second to none! Definitely coming back!
