Excellent standards from staff to facilities. We will be visiting again in the summer!

Pros: Cleanliness, attentive staff, dietary adaptations and requirements met, pool and spa facilities.

Pros: Facilities are good, and the staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and experience was delightful

Cons: It has a slight old feel to it like floorboards feel like they creak a little and style a little old. However I feel nitpicking

Well worth a stay for those who don’t want to be in a town. The views are lovely and I will be back.

Pros: The main thing we enjoyed was the staff, they were all very courteous and always had a smile. The open fire was very welcoming and slowed you to sit and relax after a long day out. The room was lovely and shower was a real treat and after spending time in the pool and steam sauna rooms it was great.

Cons: Can’t think of anything really. They are updating the place but you would really notice and did not impede on our stay.

It was good - some aspects better than others.

Pros: The room was good and the food and service was really good. We really enjoyed the leisure facilities.

Cons: The safe didn’t work in the room and the shower was so hot you couldn’t get under it. The radiator in the room was like warm.

On the whole a very pleasant stay

Pros: Beautiful location. Renovations going on in hotel but got given an upgrade which was greatly appreciated

Cons: Evening meal was very expensive for the vegetarian choices. £14 for a relatively small bowl of penne pasta!

Lovely 2nd visit to Castle Inn

Pros: It was warm, cleaned and comfortable. The location was peaceful and ample parking

Cons: The dining area was a bit cold as the hotel was under a refurbishment and they were using the conservatory for breakfast and evening meals. It was still comfortable and the food was of a very high quality so the temp wasn’t a huge problem. We were able to get a spot next to the big log burner in the sitting room which was glorious
