We will certainly visit again.

Pros: Always a warm welcome. Breakfast was first rate and served quickly. The location is ideal for both the city of Carlisle and access to surrounding areas of interest, as well as being handy for an overnight stop on a journey.

Our favourite place for Carlisle and the North Lakes.

Pros: Very well thought out rooms (we have stayed three times). Very welcoming host and staff. Excellent room facilities and breakfast.

Absolutely wonderful - would stay here again!

Pros: Julie and Alastair are amazing and wonderful hosts, and nothing is too much trouble for them! They have a dog friendly space for the garden, and breakfast was delicious! The room is spacious, well decorated, and the bed so comfortable I could’ve stayed in it forever! Julie even gave my dog some extra sausage at breakfast - which was such a thoughtful thing to do.

Cons: Nothing at all.

Pros: What a brilliant weekend we had staying at Crossroad B&B! Julie and Alistair were the perfect hosts and work so hard to ensure you have everything you need. Beds were very comfortable and shower was great! Julie cooks the most amazing breakfast. Will definitely be back!

It was comfortable and warm . And hope to return at a later date

Pros: The bed was very comfortable and the room and shower were very clean . The breakfast was just what I needed . . And my little dog was welcome and also given a sausage for her breakfast .

Cons: Getting access to Carlisle and the B and B due to the new ring road being built . Julie runs a good business under difficult circumstances .

Great place

Pros: Warm welcome, friendly helpful owners, great breakfast. Rooms were clean and well presented.

Cons: The extensive roadworks all around the premises. Not the owners fault and has not stopped me including this as my stop over for my next trip in 2026. Just an observation, not a criticism.

An enjoyable stay

Pros: Great friendly hostess & delicious cooked breakfast

Cons: Only one hand towel for a double room, one each would have been nice. No toothmug/cup in the bathroom & not enough fresh milk left in communal fridge for 4 people to make a cuppa 🙁.
