Wonderful

Pros: What a wonderful place to stay. Beautiful location, comfortable rooms and our host Sarah could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Great walks too right from the guesthouse. We would love to come back.

Welcoming and relaxing stay, with amazing views

Pros: Sarah sent us through directions ahead of our arrival and greeted us when we got there. She was so friendly, spoke to us about our day, showed us to our room and explained where things were and what time breakfast would be served from. The room itself was perfect for what we needed. Having been up Scafell that day, we were longing for a hot shower and a comfy bed and that is EXACTLY what we got! The room was warm and cozy, once we were in there, we didn't want to go out again after that. In the morning, we headed down to breakfast and once again was greeted by Sarah. She made us teas/coffees and cooked us both the breakfast of our choices, made form local produce, which tasted so good. The area and location of the guest house is perfect, situated in a quiet little hamlet with nothing but farmlands, valleys and the Catbell fells surrounding it, the views from the rooms were amazing. We loved everything about our stay and will definitely look to come back again soon!

Pros: The location was amazing, stunning views and gorgeous walks straight from the property. Really comfortable bed and the Breakfast was fresh and really tasty.

Cons: The bedroom was really cold, although the heating was on the whole time I don’t think the room retains enough heat to really warm up to a comfortable temperate sadly. This was only an issue due to the time of year we have come.

Pros: The accomodation was superb, very comfy bed, Sarah was so welcoming and cooked an amazing breakfast.

Lovely BNB

Pros: This is a lovely family run bnb . Just from it’s backyard is trail to catsbell which we did and enjoyed … located few miles from buttermere this is a great pit stop ..we made a good choice :)

Pros: Nice warm ensuite room. Nice clean bedding. Comfortable beds. Plenty of tea and coffee. Quiet. Excellent breakfast-quality ingredients. Parking. Ideal for climbing Catbells.
